Mrs. Hazel F. Breeds, 78, of Moravia, died Wednesday evening in Cortland Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for one week following an automobile accident Dec. 4 at Peruville Corners, south of Groton at the Route 38 and Tompkins County Route 107 intersection.

Mrs. Breeds was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, James, 76.

Raymond Dennis, 30, of Freeville, driver of the second car, was charged with failure to yield right of way at an intersection, State Police said.

Born in Cortland, she lived in the Moravia area for the past 25 years. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Cortland.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son, John E. Breeds of McGraw; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Smith of Ottawa, Ill., and Mrs. Michael Bilinski of Moravia; two grandsons and two great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wade Funeral Home, Moravia with the Rev. James E. Wolfkiel, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Atwater Cemetery, Homer.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
