Born in Cranbrook County, Kent, England, she was the daughter of Edward and Sarah Sears Breeds. She was the widow of Frank D. Whatman.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Gladys) Smith of Painted Post; two sons, Frederick of Endicott and Donald of Groton; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. David Talbot officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery at a date to be announced.
