Frederick's middle initial was "R" instead of "B" as shown on his headstone.

His burial card shows " R " and his enlistment record as well shows " R ". ( see his wife's headstone on the reverse of his stone ).

Frederick served as a First Lieutenant & Pilot, 45th Fighter Squadron, 15th Fighter Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 19, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the manufacture of automobiles and also as Single, without dependents.

He was married sometime after his enlistment.

Frederick was "Killed In Action" in Japan during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred in the USAF Cemetery, Jokohoma Cemetery No. 1, Japan and was later repatriated here on July 7, 1949.
