Fresno Woman Traffic Victim on Highway 99
Mrs. Marie White Cameron, 37, of 233 East Calimyrna Avenue, Fresno was killed when her station wagon and another vehicle collided on old highway 99 (Golden State Boulevard) and De Wolf Avenue at 10 p.m., Friday. Mrs. Cameron was driving south on Highway 99 when here car was struck by a car driven by Eliseo C. Morales of Orange Cove. The Cameron vehicle rolled over and she was thrown out and crushed. Mrs. Cameron's daughters ***** and ***** a family friend, ***** were injured and rushed to Selma District Hospital, Morales was not hurt. The victim had worked for a food store in Fresno for 11 years and was enroute to Bakersfield to take possession Saturday of a motel she had purchased there. A felony hit and run charge was filed Monday by the district attorney's office against Morales. Investigating officers stated that Morales denied being involved in the accident. He was arrested in a taxicab in Selma.
