Lillie Maude Collins Bonsall, 77, died October 23, 2001 in Royersford Veteran's Home almost 9 months to the day that her sweetheart Joe died. She was born to Gertrude Otley Spence and Kenny Monroe Collins January 24, 1924. She married Joseph Sloan Bonsall on April 2, 1946 in a military wedding. Lillie Maude and Joe were married for 55 years and lived most of those years at 3517 Jasper Street in Philadelphia, PA. She and Joe had two children, Joseph Sloan Bonsall Jr. and Nancy Bonsall.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister Blanche Washington; and five brothers, Frank Monroe, Paul Clifton, James Thomas, John Pershing, and William Sterling Collins. She is survived by her son Joseph Sloan Bonsall Jr.; a daughter Nancy Bonsall; and three grandchildren; and two brothers Sidney Cairey Collins of Greensboro, NC and Lewis Monroe Collins and wife Immogene of Roanoke Rapids, NC .
