Wally was a friend of my sister, Sandy & her childhood sweetheart, (& now ex-husband) Mark Dzwonik.
Wally & Mark were both from St. Stanislaus High School.
My Mom thought of Wally as another one of her kids.
Wally was killed in the line of duty by a land mine in Vietnam.
He was only 20 years old & had only been in Vietnam for about 6 weeks.
His tour of duty began on August 27, 1968.

~Following his father, Walter Sr.'s death in 2000, Wally was moved from Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit to Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
He is buried alongside both his mother and father.~
