He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna; daughter Lark Vickers (Thomas); a son Michael (Marianna) of Redding, California; and his brother Parke of Paradise, California. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Danielle, Derek, and Gavin; and one great-grandson.
When Buzz was in elementary school his family moved to Durham, California. He graduated from Durham High School in 1949. He met his future wife, Donna LaBaw, in 1951 and married in June 1953 in Chico. Buzz worked in the grocery industry for 40 years, starting at Safeway and ending with Fleming Foods as a sales consultant. When he retired in 1992, he became active with Shriners Children's Hospital. He drove many children from our area to Sacramento for care. He continued this as a co-driver until about a year ago.
He and his wife went on several cruises and many other exciting vacations together. Buzz loved to fish with his son and friends, read, and cook. He and Donna loved to dance and did so whenever possible. Please feel free to leave condolences for the family or share memories of Buzz in the comment section below.
