Miss Bessie E. Hall, who died May 11, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar E. Hall, 160 Broad street. She was born in Bellows Falls, Vt., in 1884, where excepting one year in Rumford Falls, Me., she lived until coming to Claremont about three years ago.
The funeral service was held at the home of her parents Sunday afternoon. Music was furnished by the quartette, Messrs. Southwick, Frost, Mrs. Cramer [and] Miss Moore. Rev. J.M. Wathen officiated. A profusion of flowers witnessed to the affection of her loved ones and the friends as they viewed the sweet peace of her face felt that her spirit had left its expression there as a token of her final happiness in the home that she now shares with her sister, Hazel.
Miss Hall was an exceptionally sweet spirited and noble minded girl. Her thoughtfulness for others as well as her Christian faith showed itself in her Bible, which was marked in many passages bearing on immortality. She was a member of the First Congregational church of Bellows Falls, at which city her burial took place Tuesday afternoon. Among the friends who mourn her loss special mention is made of Miss Jessie Ingham of Pawtucket, R.I., whose devotion and presence has been a great consolation to the bereaved family.
