Dancer. She shall be remembered as a part of the popular dance troupe Pan's People from the iconic BBC 1 music series "Top of the Pops" (TOTP). Born to a show business family she began dance lessons at four, studied at the Corona Stage School of Hammersmith, made her professional bow in a London Palladium production of "Aladdin," worked for a time at London's Celebrity Club, and in December of 1967 became an early, though not a founding, member of Pan's People. The group originally performed on the German show "Beat! Beat!" and the Belgian series "Vibrato", then on the BBC's "The Beat Room," and were even seen in a Belgian production of Johann Strauss II's "Der Fledermaus" prior to their May 30, 1968, initial appearance on TOTP in which they danced to Elvis' hit "US Male." The girls and their often skimpy outfits quickly became one of the viewers' favorite parts of the show as they did their routines to each week's top songs; Louise had her West End debut in 1970's "Lie Down, I Think I Love You," touted as a sort of British version of "Hair," her time away from television brief as the piece flopped after 13 shows. Having married businessman Tony Dobson (deceased 2010), Louise left Pan's People in May 1974 though the ensemble's association with TOTP was to continue until 1976. After raising her children she was to open her own health and beauty day spa appropriately called Pan's Place and was also to run a courier service. Louise died following a two year battle with heart disease; at her demise she could still be seen almost daily on reruns of "Top of the Pops."
