Joyce N. Forsht, 72, Box 1238, Altoona RR 1, died Tuesday at Altoona Regional Health System, Bon Secours Hospital Campus.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Theodore King and Naomi (Morgan) Marks. She married John Forsht July 3, 1967, in Lancaster. He died Sept. 8, 1995.

Surviving are two daughters: Brandy Ronan and Sherry Forsht, both of Altoona; a stepson, Ronald Forsht of Muncy; stepdaughter, Bonnie Mishock of Altoona; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Forsht; a brother, Theodore King; and a sister, Lois Snyder.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Forsht drove a school van for the Altoona Area School District, worked at Wal-Mart as a cashier and had worked at Puritan Sportswear.

She was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School.

She was a member of Roaring Spring Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Forsht served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

She enjoyed her grandkids and traveling.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 25, at the funeral home by Pastor Ralph Hamer. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
