David L. Barnes, age 81, of Duncansville, died Thursday morning, February 3, 2011 at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. Born November 22, 1929 in Duncansville, son of the late Sara (Duck) Barnes. He married Kay F. (Forsht) on Oct. 1, 1955.

Survived by his wife of 55 years, Kay; son Kip L. Barnes of Duncansville; a grandson Matthew Barnes of Hollidaysburg; 2 sisters: Linda Rhodes (Bob) of Duncansville and Judy Smith (Bob) of Claysburg; and a sister-in-law Sue Dellinger (Phil) of Duncansville.

Dave was a 1949 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a Marine Corp. veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from SKF in 1990.

He was a member of Juniata Lodge F&AM.

He enjoyed watching Duke basketball and previously enjoyed riding snowmobiles.

Viewing and services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
