Dell Alton Bourne, born June 12, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Oran Hazen and LaDeen Baxter Bourne. He graduated from West High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, along with his brother Gary Bourne aboard the destroyer, USS James C. Owens, with two world cruises.
Dell worked for Western Electric Installation and transferred to and retired from the phone company in 1993. He had many hobbies to keep him out of trouble. He loved his wood shop, travel trailer, camping, dune buggy, musical instruments, telescope, etc. He loved his two families, the Bournes and the Hogges, and couldn't get enough of either one of them. Dell had a good life, he felt life was very good to him.
Survived by brothers, Hal Bourne, Gary (Bobbie) Bourne of Idaho Falls, ID, and sister, Joan Perron (Rusty) of Beaver, UT, his extended family, Robert & Julie Hogge, Travis & Natalie Hogge, Josh & Jessica Hogge, and Katy Hogge along with Weston, Bubba, Camden, Courtney, and Mikey Hogge. Preceded in death by his wife Patricia Shea Bourne, sister, Bonnie (Bill) Stonebraker, Laurel Brunyer, brother, Dennis (Bonnie) Bourne, and parents.
Services with be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N Main, Bountiful, Utah, with a viewing from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com
