MIDVALE - The gentle builder has moved on to continue his work. Our husband, father, grandfather and extraordinary friend made a better world for all of us, not just with his tools and his expertise, but with his nurturing, his sense of humor, and his warmth. We will do our best to carry on the legacy of care that he has modeled.

Norman Richard Behling passed away July 7, 2002 after a long hard battle with Alzheimer's.

He was born in Ferron, Utah to Richard Behling and Freida Boldt on July 27, 1929. He married Lora Lee Larsen, Jan. 23, 1953 in the Manti Temple. He retired from Western Electric (AT&T) after 34 years of service but never stopped working for others.

Norman is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 49 years; two sons, Steven (Karol) and Michael (Suellen); six grandchildren and one special granddaughter, Kaija; brother, Jed; and sisters, Kay and Judy. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, June and Sonja.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 10 at 1 p.m. at the Midvale 3rd Ward Chapel, 7825 Olympus St. (220 W). Friends and family may call from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Stratford Assisted Living Facility for their love and care.
