Major League Baseball Player. He was a catcher for four teams in six years in the major leagues. He broke in with the Chicago White Sox in 1920. He also played with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1922), Philadelphia Phillies (1926 to 1927 and 1935), and St. Louis Cardinals (1929). During his up and down career he batted a modest .230 in 103 games. After his playing days, he worked as a major league scout for 40 years.
