Angela (Morosco) Barnes Utica - Cortland, New York, Mrs. Angela M. (Morosco) Barnes, age 31, a native of Utica, NY, and currently of Cortland, NY, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2008, when she passed away at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY, as the result of an aneurysm. While her passing was unexpected, we celebrate the blessing of her newborn baby boy. Our dearest daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend will be sadly missed. It was always her cheerful smile and happy disposition, even in the face of troubled times that carried many of us through the day. Angela was born on March 30, 1976, in Utica, the daughter of Thomas J. and Annette C. (Creo) Morosco. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Angela M. (Giovinazzo) Morosco. She was a graduate of T. R. Proctor High School with the class of 1994. She then furthered her studies and received her degree from M.V.C.C. She was employed by the Department of Defense (DFAS) at Griffiss Air Force Base as a military accounting technician. Angela was joined in marriage with Brett K. Barnes of Cortland, NY on March 12, 2005. That union, with God's love, was blessed with two beautiful children: Annette Kathleen Barnes, age 2, and Gene Arthur Barnes, newborn. Angela had an unequaled passion for life and for her family. She had many abilities including photography, creative writing, production of media presentations, and accounting. She was endowed with the gift of promoting friendship easily and passing onto others her cheerful disposition. Her warm-hearted personality touched everyone with whom she came in contact. She had a great love for children and frequently joined in many of their activities. She was famous for her unique, self-created Halloween costumes. Angela had many hobbies including camping at her favorite site, the Cooperstown Family Campground; blessed with a beautiful alto voice, she also enjoyed karaoke, and participating in challenging internet games. But her deepest desire was to have children and raise a family. She was committed to her husband Brett, and was proudest most of being a mother. She loved to write about her children and send the entire family daily pictures of little Annie's escapades. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. In leaving to be with Jesus she is survived by her loving husband, Brett; a daughter, Annette (Annie); and a son, Gene. She is also survived by her parents, Thomas and Annette Morosco of Utica; her siblings, Bernie and Mary Morosco of New Hartford, Lisa and Mark Sassman of Carmel, IN, and Brian Morosco and fiancée Pamela Way of St. Augustine, FL. She also leaves behind her loving in-laws, Gene and Kathy Barnes of Cortland, NY, her husband's grandmother, Frances Mabel Russell; her brother-in-law and his wife, Derek and Sarah Barnes of Cortland; her nieces and nephews, Thomas Morosco, Kayla Morosco, Abigayle Morosco, Mark Sassman, Jr., Michael Sassman, Nicholas Morosco, and Harrison Barnes; her many aunts, uncles, and cousins in New York and Montreal, Canada, as well as her beloved friends April Morosco and Jill Van Patten. Her family wishes to thank the staff of the Cortland Regional Medical Center, TLC Ambulance, University Hospital, Crouse Irving Hospital, and the Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network team for their continued support and loving care. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-6:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. 932 South St. corner of Hammond Ave. The family will remain at the funeral home for all visitors. By family request, please omit floral offerings. For those wishing to do so, please consider memorial contributions in Angela's honor to the family enabling them to establish an educational fund for her children; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Angela's funeral service will commence on Monday morning at 10:30 from the funeral home and at 11:30 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish where her Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will be held. Online tributes at: www.EannaceFuneralHome.com Angela M. Barnes

Thank you to everyone who has left flowers. I can't tell you how much it means to me that you have stopped by to visit my darling daughter Angie. Prayers and Love to you all. (Angie's Dad)

To my daughter, I loved you so
You were special, I hope you know
With every day, that did pass by
You were a twinkle, in my eye.
So loving, so giving, a heart of gold
Always my baby to have and to hold
Your love shined through for all to see
I felt so proud you were part of me.
