Dorothy L. Earick, 81 of 500 S. Roosevelt Ave., Piqua, died on Sunday, December 21, 2003 at 11:40 am in the Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Christiansburg on January 7, 1922 to the late Edward and Eva Long Strickling. She married Herman C. Earick on October 25, 1944 in Bradford; and he survives.

Other survivors include a nephew, Richard and Nancy Callison of Piqua, and a niece, Patricia Mitchell of Reedley, Calif. She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, and three sisters.

Mrs. Earick attended Watsonville High School in California and retired as a clerk from the former G. C. Murphy Co.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 10:00 am in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Ellis officiating. Private burial will be in Casstown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Piqua Ambulance Fund, P. O. Box 720, Piqua, OH 45356.
