Robert appears on the 1860 census as age 23 and living with his father. He does not show up on the 1870 census so he probably died between 31 Aug 1864 and Apr 1865 in Georgia. His brother, B.F. Moon, brother-in-law, James A. Freeman, 2nd cousin in-law, Boley Campbell, 1st cousin in-laws, Elisha Coleman & Thomas Jefferson Farr also served in Company C, 16th SC.
