Dr. William F. Crowley, age 57, of Northville, Michigan, died suddenly May 11, 2008 as a result of a bicycling accident. He was born July 6, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to Patrick and Alice (Murray) Crowley.
He graduated from Princeton University with his Bachelors Degree and received his Doctorate Degree from Wayne State University Medical School.
Bill was a General Surgeon for Toledo Hospital; specializing in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care. He was a member of Michigan State Medical Society and the Eastern Society of Trauma Surgery.
Bill Crowley was also a member of the Detroit Athletic Club and a past member of the Princeton Terrace Club. Bill was very active; enjoying woodworking, downhill skiing, cycling, golfing, and playing basketball with his daughters. He was a wonderful gourmet cook. Bill also liked to shop especially at Home Depot and Costco. He loved being with his family most of all.
Survivors included his loving wife Mary, whom he married on November 10, 1990; his daughters, Lauren and Melissa; his brother Robert Crowley; his sisters, Maureen (the late W. Peter) McCabe and Christina (Peter Hobe); many nieces and nephews; and his four legged companion, Tobey.
