Brandy was born in the Bronx, the son of Princess Bella and Sir Brian of Paulding. At three months of age he was adopted by the Beyer Family. He joined two cats, Charlie and Ginger. He always loved cats, small dogs, puppies and children. Unlike most dogs, he would wait until "his" cats finished eating before licking their plates clean for them. He had several family members with cars but he always knew the particular honk of the horns of his cars when they entered the garage of the apartment building where he lived. He never made a mistake even though there were many people who parked in the garage.
He enjoyed drives in the car and sometimes took long rides to Gloversville in Upstate New York where he would swim in a lake there.
In 1979 he moved to Texas and was joined by "his" cats, Charlie and Ginger. Later there were more cats including Shadow who had kittens in the house. Brandy would help Shadow wash the kittens and even she knew that he would never hurt the kittens.
