Bridget Wall was born in Ireland in May 1832, the daughter of Jane Dormer and Robert Wall. In 1837 she arrived in New York City with her mother on a ship named Henri IV. The Wall Family settled in the East Norwegian section of Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA. Her siblings included Mary Wall Comerford;(who married Martin Comerford), Rev. Lawrence Wall;(a Catholic Priest), Catherine (who married Daniel Lawler) John, Robert, Joseph Frank Wall and James. Bridget married James Fogarty on Sept. 15, 1849 at St. Patrick's Church in Pottsville. James Fogarty was born in Castlecomer, Kilkenny, Ireland. Their 11 children were: James Paul Fogarty (who married Rose Gallagher); Hester; Jane; Thomas (who married Ellen Connell); Catherine (who married John Hughes ); Rev. Patrick Fogarty (a Catholic Priest); Ellen (who married John Mahoney); Julia (who married Robert Tray); Mary (who married Charles Hirl); Robert(married Mary McCormick) and Michael. Bridget's father and husband both died in Schuylkill County. The Wall and Fogarty Families eventually moved to Philadelphia. Bridget's brother, Lawrence, was the rector of St. Dominic's Church in Philadelphia from 1876 to 1926. Her son, Rev. Patrick Fogarty, had several assignments in Philadelphia Churches. Bridget lived at 1409 W.
