Frank retired from the Silvercrest Child Development Center and was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Georgetown, Indiana.
Frank was born on May 29, 1934 in Vine Grove, Kentucky to the late Frank O. and Mary E. (Hicks) Cecil.
He is also preceded in death by brothers, Joseph K., Robert W. Cecil, and Charles O. Cecil; and sister, Margaret E. Brumblow.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda (McDaniel) Cecil; children, Mark A. Cecil and his wife, Bobbie Jo, of New Albany and Lois R. "Rene" Richards of Clarksville, Indiana; brother, John T. Cecil of Georgetown; sisters, Mary Catherine Ward of Bethpage, Tennessee, Ruth M. Bridges and Julia H. Horne, both of Moultrie, Georgia; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
His visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).
His Funeral Service will be 11 AM in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville-Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
