Arriving in Vietnam 28 November 1968 Bruce
was assigned to CAP 1-3-8,CACO 1-3,1st CAG
Combined Action.Bruce died as a result of
multiple fragmentation wounds to the body
from a hostile explosive.
Bruce graduated with Platoon #296 from the
San Diego MCRD Platoon #296 and was the
only Marine from Platoon #296 that died
in Vietnam.
Survived by his parents,Alden C & Ruth N
Anderson of Birchdale,MN,a sister;Janet
Anderson and 2 brother;Gerald Eugene and
Lyndon Anderson all of MN.
