Lillie Highfield Edwards passed away in Jackson, Miss., on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, after a lengthy illness.
Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Dr. Samuel Richardson III, M.D.; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Barbara Edwards; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Gayle Richardson Custer, Sam "Richie" Richardson IV and John Edwards; and eight grandchildren who have loved her for years, Justin, Ashley and Abigayle Lindsey, Michael, James, Jonathan, Alicia and Samuel Richardson.
Visitation was at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Graveside service at Greenoaks Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m.
Miss Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Taylor Edwards; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Highfield.
