She enjoyed cooking and canning fruits and vegetables from her garden. She was a long standing member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and did a lot of volunteer work. She was an excellent seamstress. She always volunteered to work in all the state and county elections. She believed in democracy. She loved her family and friends.
She first married Donald Loyal Ware and had one son. Her second marriage was to Charles E. Nelson. They had 3 children. After Charles died, she married John Moore.
She was cremated and her ashes are buried in the grave of Charles E. Nelson, her second husband.
