Mrs. Kennerley , 83, of Charlotte, died Friday, January 30, 2004. She was born April 26, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Miriah Stanley Ezzelle and Robert Ezzelle. She retired in 1979 as Chief Operators Clerk with Southern Bell after 21 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She married George (Jim) Milas Kennerley in Charlotte, NC on October 27, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1994.
Survivors include her son, Wesley Kennerley and his wife Anita of Concord, NC, and her daughter, Linda Kennerley Richardson and her husband Fred of Huntersville, NC, grandchildren, Robert Kennerley and his wife Alicia of Stanley, NC, Fred Richardson and Jennifer Richardson both of Huntersville, NC and one great grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kennerley will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2004 from the McEwen Funeral Service, Charlotte Chapel with the Rev. Dr. H.W. Pigg officiating. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association-Southern Piedmont Chapter, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
