This marker was in the far NW corner of the cemetery. It looks newer than what may have been put there in 1898. I don't know what the story is behind this.

An unknown man was in the process of stealing a horse from an official in this small community at the very edge of Indian country. When confronted he tried to flee and was killed. He was buried with all they knew of him, that he was a horse thief. submitted by member# 48917574
