A memorial service to celebrate Scot's life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 17, 2000 from the graveside of Sunset Memory Gardens, Lawyers Rd.
Scot was born January 16, 1958, the third of four children to Thelma E. and Archie A. Currie . He graduated from Garinger High School in 1976, lettering in football and baseball. He continued to live in Charlotte, working for S.C. Hondros and Associates until June of 2000. He enjoyed fishing and reading, gave wonderful shoulder rubs and had a sense of humor guaranteed to leave his entire family crying with laughter.
Scot is survived by his mother, Thelma E. Currie of Charlotte; two sisters, Gloria C. Overcash and her husband, Joe of Mt. Holly, NC and Susan C. Sweet and her husband, Jim of Stanfield, NC; one brother, Russell T. Currie and his fiancee, Stacy Anderson of Charlotte, two nieces, Melissa Boyd of Huntersville, NC and Amanda Boyd of Mt. Holly, NC; six aunts, two uncles and numerous cousins. Scot was preceded in death by his father, Archie A. Currie .
In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that donations be made in remembrance of Scot to the charity of your choosing.
