'Woody'
Mr. Tuttle, 51, of Flat Rock, NC, formerly of Charlotte, NC, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at his home. Woody was born June 30, 1958 in Charlotte, the son of Harding 'Bubba' Tuttle and Betty Helms Stegall. He was a chef in the Charlotte area for over 35 years. Woody moved to Key West, FL to work and study under famous chef, Norman Van Aken. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Woody was preceded in death by his step-father, Jerry Walker. Woody is survived by his mother, Betty Helms Stegall; step-father, Jimmy Stegall; father, Harding 'Bubba' Tuttle; step-mother, Doris Tuttle; sister, Jinx Pruden and husband Doug; loving family members, Jim and Barbara Drye, Rodney and Shannon Baker, Jordan, Emily and Hannah Baker, Jenna Schmidt, Sonny Eddins, Madison Reames and Judy Walker.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31st in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Road with the Rev. Jan Heermans officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mid-Atlantic Chapter, PO Box 36405, Charlotte, NC 28236-6405.
