Pamela Davenport , 51, of 4941 Watkins Road, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at her home. Pamela was born November 18, 1958 in Mecklenburg County to Edna Wise Davenport and the late Archie C. Davenport . She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and served her country as a Major in the Air Force. She worked with the North Carolina Employment Security Commission in labor market information. Pamela had a tender heart for children, people and animals and will be missed by her family and friends. Memorial Service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 125 South Selma Road, Wendell, NC 27591 with Reverend Bruce W. Berry officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends following the service in the Narthex. Surviving are her mother, Edna Wise Davenport of Wendell; sister, Deborah S. Park (Edward D.) of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Kenneth J. Davenport (Ilene) of Ripley, TN; nephews, Brian Moser, Colin Moser, Seth Henderson, Jason Davenport ; and niece, Lisa Davenport .
