Henry (Hank) Clough, 80, died Monday, June 6, 2005, at the Albany County Nursing Home. He was born in Oneonta, the son of the late Henry and Helen DeLaMater Clough. He was a graduate of Oneonta High School and served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. Mr. Clough worked for the New York Telephone Company in Albany for 40 years.
He was an active member of several veterans organizations, including the VFW Post No. 6776, Mighty Eighth Air Force Historical Society, the 486th Bomb Group Association and the 210th Armor Association. He was also a member of the Communications Workers of America and the Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of the John Clough Genealogical Society and was very active with the Boy Scouts, holding the position of Scout Master of Troop 46, St. James Parish. Mr. Clough was also the Explorer adviser for the New York Telephone Company, Sheehy Palmer Post and St. James Church, where he was also a longtime communicant.
He is survived by his wife, Joan A. Miller Clough; and many friends.
He was predeceased by his son, Gerald Clough.
Funeral services will be at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., thence to St. James Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Interment will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
