Nadine Carson Sinclair

Mrs. Sinclair , formerly of 5901 Plainfield Drive, Charlotte, quietly and peacefully passed to eternal life at Liberty Nursing Center, formerly Wesley Nursing, on February 15, 2005. Nadine was born in Concord, NC, on February 18, 1928, the daughter of the late Tracy Floyd and Nola Millsapps Carson. She graduated from Concord High School and Wingate College, now Wingate University. Before retiring, she served on the staff at Garinger High School and Central Piedmont Community College where she touched the lives of many students.

Nadine married William R. Sinclair who preceded her in death in February 4, 2004. Nadine "Dene" Sinclair will be remembered by many for her warm smile, her gentle and encouraging words and her ability to see and foster the good in everyone. She made every person feel worthy, special, and loved. Her faith was remarkable as she lived out her Christian life everyday.

Nadine is survived by two children whom she adored, Jan Sinclair of Charlotte and Jeff Sinclair of California; one sister, Joanne Carson Potts of Concord, NC; and six nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Sinclair was preceded in death by her two brothers, Lt. Col. Floyd A Carson and Maj. James Owen Carson, and sisters, Miriam Elaine Carson and Pegge Gail Carson Hagler.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Carolina Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends for one half hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the Levine's Children Hospital, c/o Carolinas Medical Center, 1000 Blythe Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203.
