Actress. Born Phyllis Ann Davis, she is best remembered for her role as Bea (Beatrice) Travis in the television series "Vega$." The series aired on ABC TV from 1978 to 1981 and co-starred actor Robert Urich. She briefly attended Lamar College in Texas, where she began her education studying drama. Dropping out of school and moving to Los Angeles in the mid 1960s, she attended acting classes at the Pasadena Playhouse, and also worked as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines. She made her film debut in the 1966 motion picture "Lord Love a Duck." Her other film credits include: "Spinout" (1966), "The Last of the Secret Agents" (1966), "Live a Little, Love a Little" (1968), "The Big Bounce" (1969), "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" (1970), "Sweet Sugar" (1972), "Terminal Island" (1973), "The Day of the Dolphins" (1973), "The Choirboys" (1977), "Guns" (1990), "Beverly Hills Cop III" (1994), "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory" (1995), and several made-for-TV movies. In addition to her work in "Vega$," she appeared as a guest actress in numerous TV series including: "Petticoat Junction," "The Wild, Wild West," "Adam-12," "Police Woman," "The F.B.I.," "Love American Style," "The Odd Couple," "The Streets of San Francisco," "Knight Rider," "Fantasy Island," "The Love Boat," and "Magnum P.I." In 1966, she was acknowledged by the film industry as one of Hollywood's most promising young rising stars. She died in Henderson, Nevada, from cancer at the age of 73.
