Volley Adams, who is 94 years of age, fell upon the curb on Citrus avenue Saturday evening and sustained a fracture of the hip. He was assisted home by Wm. M. Tisdale and S. Alder, who happened along at the time he fell, and was attended by Dr. Blythe. While the fracture in itself was not severe, yet it is likely to be a serious matter in so old a man.

DIED FROM HIS INJURIES.
VOLNEY ADAMS TOO FEEBLE TO RECOVER
REDLANDS, May 24 - Volley Adams, the aged gentleman who was hurt in a fall last Saturday evening, died last evening as a result of his injuries. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church this afternoon. Rev. Mr. McCartney officiated, assisted by Rev. Messrs. Inwood, Hamilton and Pollock.
The interment will be in Los Angeles.
Mr. Adams was for many years a familiar figure upon the streets of Redlands. He was born in Vermont in 1805, but for most of his life was a resident of Ohio. He came to California ten years ago.
He leaves four children, two daughters and two sons, one of whom, G. M. Adams, was a former merchant of this city, but at present lives in Pasadena.
For a great many years he was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church and his long life was an honorable one.
