STEPHEN HINOTE AT REST

Death brought merciful relief to Stephen D. Hinote at the home of his son Tuesday evening. About three years ago the deceased suffered a stroke from which he never recovered in fact he gradually became more helpless and for the past year has been entirely helpless and bedfast. Mr. Hinote was born in Gentry county. Missouri. March 30, 1861. He was married in 1882 and was the father of five children, three boys and two daughters. Mrs. Hinote passed away in Missouri in 1900 and one of the daughters died in 1917. The surviving members of the family are Walter, of Cedaredge; John, of Farragut, Iowa, Carl, who was last heard from in the army service at Leavenworth, Kan.; and Mrs. Lou Westbrook of Kansas City. Mr. Hinote came to this section about seventeen years ago and was well known among the older people. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the Community church and burial will be made in the Cedaredge cemetery.
