H.A. Boney, 84, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 26, 2008.
Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Ranger. Burial to follow in Bullock Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
H.A. was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Ranger to John Preston and Donado Goforth Boney. He married Dorothy Mae Neace on Feb. 4, 1943, in Fort Worth. H.A. was a paramedic in World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for Swift and Co. for 25 years as a millright before becoming a full-time rancher.
Pallbearers will be Randy Baker, Garry Baker, Leo Gilbreath, Brandon Maher, Steve Harwell, Aaron Borchard. Honorary pallbearers will be Max Bench and Charles Boney.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors: Daughters, Cherida Gilbreath and husband, Charles, of Meridian, Carol Connor and husband, Wayne, of Burleson, Elaine Slaughter and husband, Richard, of Cisco, and Angela Davis and husband, Bill, of Ranger; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; special nephew, Charles Boney and wife, Ruby, of Ranger; and special friend, Alice Baker of Ranger.
