Tec4 Frank was killed in action while serving in France. This Division landed across Utah Beach on July 13, 1944, and entered combat on July 17, 1944 by taking Coutances, France on July 28, 1944.

He is the son of Mrs. Myrtle Frank of Brimfield, Illinois, and he entered the service at Camp Grant, Rockford, Illinois on February 12, 1942, and did his training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and he was in Europe as a replacement by January of 1944.

He does leave four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Creamer, Mrs. Frances McCaw, Mrs. Dorothy Slane, and Mrs. Alan Slane, all of Peoria, Illinois, and three older brothers, Pfc. Charles Frank in Louisiana, Cpl. George Frank in Panama, and Pfc. Floyd Frank in Hawaii.
