SEXTON, BURCHFIELD "BILL" - 97, of Helenwood, Tenn., died April 20, 1998, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida, Tenn. Born in Scott County, Tenn., January 12, 1900, he was the son of the late WINFIELD and NEVADA KEETON SEXTON. In addition to his parents he was preceded also in death by his wife, LILLIE MAE BYRGE SEXTON; two sons, DOYLE and BENNY SEXTON; two brothers, FRANK and ESPIE SEXTON; and two sisters, PEARL CHAMBERS and LAURA SEXTON. He was of the Baptist faith and a United States Army veteran. He is survived by two daughters, PAULINE ACRES and husband, NORMAN of Helenwood, Tenn., and BETTY J. LEVINE of Ocala, Fla. two sons, NEAL SEXTON, and CLENDON SEXTON and wife, BRENDA, all of Huntsville; 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives. Funeral service was to have been conducted Wednesday, April 22, 1998, 8 p.m., in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral home with Rev. DALE SMITH and Rev. DAVID ACRES officiating. Graveside service will be conducted April 23, 1998, 2 p.m., at Carson Memorial Park. The family was to have received friends Wednesday evening from 6-8p.m., at Jones and Son.
