Sister Mary Bernadette of the Immaculate Conception, P.C.P.A., (Elizabeth Cafarelli), a cloistered Poor Clare of Perpetual Adoration, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville, Alabama.

Visitation will be held at on Sunday, December 5th from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. And on Monday, December 6th from 6:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery on Monday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m., followed by entombment in the Lower Crypt Church.

"Elizabeth" was born to Gregorio and Flora Cafarelli in Akron, Ohio on September 12, 1919, and baptized at St. Vincent's Church on October 12, 1919.

Miss Cafarelli entered Sancta Clara Monastery in Canton, Ohio, on October 4, 1950 and received her name in religion on January 6, 1952. She made her First Profession on November 7, 1953.

Sister Bernadette transferred to Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Birmingham, Alabama in 1995.

Sister Bernadette is survived by her nephews Gregory and Fred Cafarelli; and by a host of other family, friends and benefactors. Hanceville Funeral Home directing,
