HENRY, Robert, a 40 year resident of Beavercreek, age 79, passed away on January 5th, 2015. He was born near Chillicothe on January 1st, 1936 to the late Curtis Cecil and Margaret Ellen Henry.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Jane; son, David of Fairbanks, Alaska (wife, Chisato); daughter, Karen Wilsey (husband, Peter) of San Francisco; three grandchildren, Sophie Henry and Nicholas and Bennett Wilsey, as well as two brothers, Keith of Lancaster and Charles of Portsmouth.

Bob graduated from Ohio University and earned an MBA from Wright State University. Bob was a dedicated instructor of Information Technology for 23 years at Sinclair Community College. He was also employed as a Systems Engineer for IBM and as Manager of Computer Operations at WSU. Bob was a person of honesty and integrity who cared deeply for his family and students. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church on North Fairfield Road in Beavercreek.

Bob enjoyed playing the piano, writing poetry and prose, photography and in his younger days, boating and water skiing. He traveled to all 50 states and many foreign countries.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Andrew UMC on January 31st at 11:00 am. Visitation will be in the church parlor from 9:30 am until time of service. Contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to St. Andrew United Methodist Church or to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
