COMBS, Venice “Vince”, age 81, of Xenia, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Alphie Combs; brothers, Cletis and J.B. Combs; sister, Myrtlee Childers, and daughter, Donna Caudill.
Vince is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jackie Combs; son, Doug (Elizabeth) Combs; grandchildren, Travis and Chad Caudill, Katharine Combs; great grandchildren, Jay, Macie, Chase, and Calley Caudill; brothers, Thurl and Elwood Combs, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
He retired from GM after 38 years of service and was a traveling Bluegrass entertainer. He was well loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the funeral home with burial following at Beaver Cemetery, Beavercreek.
