Hill, Charles Douglas age 99 of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Bethany Village. He was born March 21, 1913 in Dayton, Ohio to John and Bird (Sheets) Hill, who preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death my his wife, Mary M. Hill in 1999.

Charles is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale E. and Margaret Hill of Centerville, Donald L. and June Hill of Beavercreek; a daughter and son-in-law, Charla and Richard Boyer of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Lisa (Hill) and Roelof Melzer of O'Fallon, IL, Linda (Hill) and Joseph Lally of Farifield, Ohio, Christine (Hill) and Dave Lett of Donnelsville, Ohio, Todd and Sara Boyer of Columbus, Ohio, Lindsey (Boyer) and Edward Pauline of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Molly and Elana Melzer, Miranda, Claire and Joseph Lally, Oren and Rosemary Boyer and Edward Richard Pauline; and a special friend Gerda Botschner of Centerville.

He was a graduate of Stivers High School and was a volunteer fireman with the City of Beavercreek for 15 years. He retired from General Motors in 1973 after 40 years of service and was a member of the Delco 25 year club. Charles was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, The Beavercreek Senior Center, Alpha Lodge #729 F.& A. M., Victory Chapter #210 R.A.M. and Reese Council #9 R. & S. M.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton-Xenia Road with Pastors Bob Brown and Steve Kimm officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 24, 2012. Masonic Services will be held Monday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, Bethany Village or The Hospice of Dayton.
