HATTON, Ada M. - Age 81, of Flint, died Thursday, October 12, 2000 at her residence. Funeral services will beheld 11AM Monday, October 16, 2000 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Wesley R. Dixon officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10-2 and 4-8PM Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Community Home Health and Hospice. Mrs. Hatton was born May 7, 1919 in Flint, the daughter of George Bert and Eva Sophia (Mattson) Moore. Mrs. Hatton was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and attended Flint Junior College. She married Billy P. Hatton on January 9, 1937 in Flint, he preceded her in death in 1948. Mrs. Hatton was a physical therapist at Dr. Failer's Rehabilitation Institute and previously employed by Genesee Memorial Hospital and Flint Osteopathic Hospital (now Genesys - West Flint Campus), retiring in 1981. She was instrumental in opening the Physical Therapy Department at Genesee Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hatton was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church. Surviving are: 3 sons, William E. (Laura) Hatton of AL, Wallace M. Hatton of CA, George (Millie) Hatton of South Branch; daughter, Patricia J. Dickerson of Flint; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Vandergrift of CA; 2 brothers, Robert (Clarissa) Moore of Flint, Leslie (Jessie) Moore of Montrose; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Clarence in 1959; 3 sisters, Evelyn Cook, Marguerite Germain and Leona Tetzloff.
