Funeral services were held at Dubuque, Iowa, Monday for Fred Merrick Barnard, 59, who died in St. Joseph's Mercy hospital in that city. He had been ill three months.
He was born here and spent the early years of his life here.
Surviving with the widow are a son, Fred, Jr. of Lansing, Iowa; a daughter. Mrs. Elmer Kisting of Dubuque; a brother, George Barnard of Bartlesville, Okla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Schlotman and Mrs. Mary Swope of here.
