David Castle, 64, of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the VA Regional Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

David was born May 30, 1949 in Sioux Falls. He grew up in the Sioux Falls area where he received his education, graduating from Baltic High School in 1967. Following high school, he entered military service and served in the US Army. Upon his return from the service, David was involved in the carpentry trade.

He was united in marriage with Janet McKaughan in Sioux Falls. The couple continued to make their home in Sioux Falls until the time of his death.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Janet; his brother, Dean (Kathy) Castle; his mother, Pat Penney; and a cousin, Mark Dokken; 4 step-brothers; and one step-sister. David was preceded in death by his father, Bert Castle, Jr. and his grandparents.

Funeral services will begin 2:00 pm Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery (West Wall Lake) rural Hartford, SD. Visitation with the family present will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
