Mary Ann H. Dice, 67, of 6804 West 6th Street, died Saturday, January 31, 2004 at her residence. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday at George Boom Funeral Home with the family present from 7:00 -8:00 PM.

Mary Ann Rippentrop, daughter of Henry and JoHanna (Schmidt) Rippentrop, was born December 14, 1936 in Sioux Falls, SD. Her mother died due to complications from childbirth and her father died a week later. Mary Ann was taken into the William and Sophia Beeners Family where she grew up as Mary Ann Beeners and graduated from Lennox High School in 1956.

She was united in marriage with Larry G. Dice on June 19, 1956 at Lennox, SD. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1957.

In 1980, Mary Ann began working for Central Plains Clinic where she worked in several positions through the years including the transition with Sioux Valley Clinic Main. She also worked part-time at Wal-Mart Super Center as a greeter since 1985. She continued to work in both careers until Christmas of 2003, when she retired due to her health.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and volunteered for many years at the Sioux Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed her work and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Catherine J. Dice-Peters and her husband Bryan L., Sioux Falls, SD; a son, Craig J. Dice and his wife Julie K., Renton WA; two grandsons, Justin C. and Joshua C. Dice, Renton, WA; a brother, Dr. William J. Beeners, Columbus, NJ; and a sister, Sophie M. Miller, Sioux Falls, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, December 12, 1993; her parents; a sister, Sophie Kuhns; and a brother, Marvin Beeners.
