January 4, 1965, Loleta, Great-aunt of Mrs. Robert Crawley of Loleta, Aunt of Elliott Shaffer of Loleta, Dr. Stanley Shaffer of Salinas, Keith Shaffer of Santa Cruz, Mrs. Mildred Peterson of Woodland, Cousin of Ralph Herrick of Loleta. She is also survived by other great nieces and nephews, cousins and great grand nieces and nephews.

A native of Merced, coming to Humboldt County in 1898, making her home in Loleta since 1902. Age 80. A member of St. Francis Episcopal church, Fortuna, Ferndale Eastern Star, 50-year member of Pacific Rebekah Lodge, Loleta, Los Amigos Club, Loleta, 40-year member of Fortuna Monday club, past secretary of Jersey Cattle Club and has been active in the wool growers association.

Services will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church, Fortuna, Thursday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Barton Kendrick officiating. Private interment in the family section of Ferndale Cemetery. Arrangements under Goble's Fortuna Mortuary.


Dorothea was the daughter of Ella S. Gish and her second husband, Wilson Edmund Elliott, Sr.
