Wilma was the daughter of Saulus and Hetta Joutsen of Finland. In 1920 she and her daughter Tyyne left Finland to be with her husband Sanfrid in America.
She is the mother of Tyyne Helena Lindela (Lindrus) Honeycutt and Helvi Maria Lindela Scott.
My mother has fond memories of her sitting in the chair with her knitting.

MRS. SANFRED LINDALA
ISLE ROYALE –Nov 11 Mrs. Sanfred (Wilma Helen) Lindala, 75, died in the St. Joseph Medical Center Sunday afternoon following a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 3, 1886 in Oulu Laani, Finland. Mrs. Lindala was a resident of the Houghton vicinity since 1920.
Surviving are the widower; two daughters, Mrs. William (Tina Helen) Honeycutt and Mrs. Leonard (Helvi Marian) Weigel of San Diego, Calif., two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The remains are at the Watia Funeral Chapel and funeral arrangements are incomplete.
