Charles W. Pinkerton, 80, of 726 Second Ave., Parkesburg, died Sunday evening in Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Kathryn E. Galloway Pinkerton, and was born in Parkesburg, son of the late Charles H. and Mary Keller Pinkerton. He had resided in Parkesburg all his life and was a member of Parkesburg Fire Co. He was employed at Parkesburg Iron Co for 25 years and by the state highway department for 8 years. For 12 years he owned and operated a delicatessen store in Parkesburg, known to area children as Pinky's Store. He retired two years ago.

Surviving are one son, Charles W. Pinkerton, Jr., and two daughters, Helen, wife of Samuel Slider, Parkesburg, and Margaret, wife of Barton Howe, Coatesville, and four grandchildren. Also three brothers, Frank, Christiana; William, Landisville, and Alfred, of Lancaster, and three sisters; Miss Lydia Pinkerton, Mrs. Bessie Spiess and Mrs. Kathryn Hagen, all of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, on Thursday, February 13, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in West End Cemetery, Pottstown.
