David F. Elias, 81, of Murphy died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Murphy Medical Center. He was a native of Pottstown, PA, but moved to Cherokee County ten years ago from Royersford, PA. David was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was a retired steel worker and was of the Catholic faith.
He was the son of the late Victor Joseph and Mary Veronica Bodnar Elias and the husband of the late Carol Kelly Elias, who died Sept. 12, 2011.
Surviving are a sister, Lucille E. Trimm and husband, James of South Hill, VA; and a brother, Victor J. Elias Jr. and wife, Zelia of Portugal.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
