ROCK HILL Margaret B. Millstead , 84, of 604 Cauthen St., passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Unihealth.
A native of Newberry County, Mrs. Millstead was born Dec. 9, 1924, a daughter of the late Thad and Daisy Fuller Boyter. She was retired from Celanese as a Lab Technician and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Millstead was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward M. Millstead .
Surviving are two daughters, Connie James and husband, Jesse, and Gail Hammond, all of Rock Hill; three grandchildren, Jessica and Chris James and Ken Hammond; three great-grandchildren, Kody James, Kenley and Kaitlyn Hammond.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Millstead will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tom Tucker and the Rev. Dr. Jim Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
